On a roll

I am a winter person, I love the cold weather and snow.

But I am actually getting anxious to get outdoors and start to get my flower beds ready for our landscaper.   I prefer to clean them up myself for him and as he has instructed I apply Preen to them.

Sometime this week, I will pull out my garden notebook so I know when I have to start pruning some of my plants.    I checked my Clematis and I see buds starting, which is a sign, they need to be pruned soon!

Did you know, certain species of Clematis need to be pruned at specific times of the year?

Here is an article from Fine Gardening detailing when and how to prune..it is very informative.

Look the results !!!

  1. I don't have a green thumb at all. We had a clematis in NY that was pretty but it could have been much prettier if I knew how to take care of it ;)

    1. Kim, this is how I relax. I love working out in my flower beds. Maybe you could try another clematis at your new home. :)
