Hot Rods & Crusin Season !

Yup, that time of year is starting but the local weather is not co operating.  We got our hot rods out last weekend after being stored all winter.  My hubby started each one, checked the fluids and took them for a slow spin, brought them back and checked for any leaks.  It felt so good to get behind the wheel of my LeMans Blue 1969 Camaro.  I have kept her completely stock.

I am the original owner, bought her as a left over in January 1970, my car payments were $60.28 a month for 3 years.  Gas was only $.36 a gallon!

My husbands car is a 1970 Chevy Nova....it has a factory installed option called a "soft top" roof, which is extremely rare.  The Nova is a beautiful color called Spring Green, but is not stock, it is completely high performance!

We enjoy going to car cruises, they are relaxing.  You pull up and park, pop the hood, pull out your lawn chair and sit!  No competition, just a lot of good conversation with all the other car nuts.  Each one has their own story.

Cruises are held almost any day of the week.  Some collect for local children's charities which is always a good promotion.  There can be anywhere from 25 to 250 cars at one time.  So one evening, when  you and your significant other have no plan, check out a local car cruise.  You just may find your very first car.

Memories!!

I have been learning so much this past week about blogging, networking blogs and online marketing that I started with a headache.  That was my signal to chill out and walk away from it.  Since it was not quite warm enough outside to work in my flower beds, I decided to bake.  My decision was easy as to what to make, I had just bought some zucchini.

Zucchini Bread...this is a family favorite! The recipe makes 2 loaves too.

3 eggs                                           1 tsp. baking powder
                              2 C. sugar                                     1 tsp. baking soda
                              1 C. oil                                          1 tsp. salt
                              3 C. flour                                       2 tsp. vanilla
                              2 C. raw grated zucchini               1/2 C. raisins
                              1-8oz. crushed pineapple, drained
                              1 C. walnuts, fineally chopeed.

Mix above ingredients together.
Bake in bread pans, 2 loaves at 325.  Test for doneness after 1 hour.

As always, this is extremely most and yummy!  It freezes well, too.
Let me know how you like it.

This is my furbaby Major, in his favorite place while I am trying to create this blog.

Have a wonderful week everyone!
