Mother's Day Gifts

Morning all !

I hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Easter !!

I have been busy creating new items for the shop, especially for Mother's Day.

Did you know that at one time I was a florist?  Yup and I know how expensive fresh flowers can be.   Unfortunately they only last for 1 week, if you are lucky.
So why  not consider something more permanent for your Mother?   Something that every time she looks at it, she will think of YOU

Mini pillows!!

Taking a stroll

As WE took our daily stroll around our yard the other day, I was amazed at how things are starting to bud.

More importantly, the WE I am speaking of is our 2 Russian Blue cats, Cody and Griffin.   They are litter brothers and the most loving, spoiled, intelligent lap cats around.

Yes, we take them for walks outside in our yard.   They look forward to it, infact almost demand it daily.    All I have to do is ask

"Who wants to go outside?"

and I am run over, tripped and meowed at until their vests and leashes are on.    Then there is a mad dash to the door by 8 little legs.   LOL

We were forewarned by the breeder, that once they get a taste of outdoors, they will always want it,    We purchased two harnesses that came  highly recommended.    After the Houdini escape attempts by both....they would stop walking forward, took a few steps backwards and did a backward somersault, they were free of their harness......we decided we needed something more secure.

Introducing the Kitty Holster   :)   Mind you, I am not being paid by the manufacturer, but these are amazing.   I feel secure in knowing they can NOT escape from these.

Infact, once we put them on our boys, they begin to strut around inside the house with their tails up and they actually wiggle their hineys.   We laugh every time how their attitude changes once their vests are on.

Here is a picture of Cody taken wearing his safety green vest.   It even has a reflective stripe around it.

If your cat loves to be outdoors, please check into this vest for him/her.

They are well worth their price.

On a roll

I am a winter person, I love the cold weather and snow.

But I am actually getting anxious to get outdoors and start to get my flower beds ready for our landscaper.   I prefer to clean them up myself for him and as he has instructed I apply Preen to them.

Sometime this week, I will pull out my garden notebook so I know when I have to start pruning some of my plants.    I checked my Clematis and I see buds starting, which is a sign, they need to be pruned soon!

Did you know, certain species of Clematis need to be pruned at specific times of the year?

Here is an article from Fine Gardening detailing when and how to prune..it is very informative.

Look the results !!!
